This tour introduces you to the Ancient and Modern History of Barcelona, both periods full of fascinating events and personalities. On a relaxed walk along elegant Passeig de Gracia, we will stop by Gaudi houses and other modernist buildings. After refreshment break at the Market on la Rambla, we will go deeper into the history of Barcelona visiting the gothic Cathedral and Royal Palace, where Columbus was received by Spanish Kings after discovery of America in 1492.

This tour will give you a quick overview into the rich and complex past of Barcelona, still embracing part of its Roman origins inside of medieval buildings. On our walk through the monumental part of the Gothic Quarter and through the narrow streets of El Borne, (ancient merchant quarter)  we will stop on many historical sites and feel the cosmopolitan and culturally rich spirit of Barcelona consolidated over centuries.

For a sweet refreshment we can stop to taste typical spanish hot chocolate with churros in some of the typical Granjas - traditional family shops and restaurants of milk products. If you want to learn more about the history of Chocolate we can visit Museu de Xocolata, located in an ancient monastery in La Ribera district.

On this tour you will learn about Picasso´s early life and work, since for him, Barcelona was the place "Where everything began". After the guided visit of Picasso Museum located in El Borne district, we will continue the walk through the old town visiting some of historical places Picasso attended or where he  lived with his family during student years in Barcelona at the end of XIXc. Apart of Picasso´s backgrounds, you will learn more about the rich and complex history of Barcelona walking through the same streets where young artist was finding inspiration for his first professional paintings, which will soon after brake the rules of the Art history forever.

On this tour you will have a breaf introduction into the local history with stops on the main sites in the modern part of town like Sagrada Familila, Batlló house and La Pedrera. After relaxed break by the sea in Barceloneta quarter we will continue with the walk around the monumental area of Gothic quarter visiting medieval Cathedral and roman remains.

Up from Montjuic Hill you will have magnificant views to the port and the City. There are lot of options to choose from for spending afternoon hours. Apart of romantic gardens, Montjuic is home to Joan Miró museum, 1992 Olympic Stadium, Spanish Village and World Exhibition complex with National Palace, built in 1929.

Monumental panoramic view from the National Catalan Museum of Art will give you another beautiful perspective of Barcelona.

If time allows we can take a cable car up to Montjuic castle or down to Barceloneta beach where our driver will pick us up for transfer back to the hotel.

Salvador DALÍ & Medieval Girona

This cultural Tour will take you into the heart of Girona region, famous for its beautiful scenaries, rich artistic and historical backgrounds and top quality local cuisine, based on "land and sea" products.

The charming medieval town of Girona will astonish you with its beauty and amount of legends and stories waiting to be told. Not without reason was it chosen for last filming location of Game of Thrones. We will stroll through the steep and narrow streets of El Call, one of the oldest Jewish Quarters in Europe and admire the colorful house-fronts on the river Ter.

Cister Monastery & Roman Tarragona

After a confortable one hour drive following the way of roman Via Augusta along the Mediterranean coast, we will reach Tarraco, ancient port and capital of Roman province Hispania Citerior.

In the modern city of Tarragona,  the past is hidden on every corner. We will start with a walk in the old town, an open air Archeological Museum of roman and medieval remains scattered in between the winding streets, sunny terrasses and  picturesque squares.

In the afternoon we will visit Sta Maria de Poblet Monastery, an oasis of peace and spirituality, which served at the same time as the royal crypt of the Kings of Aragon, a fortified royal residence and an  important military complex.

Vilafranca de Penedès, just 30km away from Barcelona is known as a Capital of CAVA, a Spanish version of French champagne. Famous Penedès wine cellars are often located in stunning properties, attraction in themselves.
